• 60 min: Sustainable Workload Placement - An Integrated IPCEI-CIS Pilot: This presentation introduces an IPCEI‑CIS pilot on sustainable workload placement, showing how compute‑intensive, stateless workloads can be dynamically shifted between wind‑powered edge data centers and traditional facilities based on real‑time green energy availability, energy mix, latency, and cost signals. It outlines the collaboration between SAP/Apeiro, WestfalenWIND IT/windCORES, T‑Systems, and FH Dortmund/EMULATE, and walks through the pilot scope, key contributions, and core platform capabilities. All pilot aspects are implemented and demonstrated in a lab environment.
